Lofoten peregrines belong to the Norwegian population, although the ones from Lofoten Island have some different characteristics, as for example their large size and excellent hunting abilities. Scientificaly they have the designation of falco peregrinus peregrinus, as for example the Scottish peregrines. Hunting weight of young tiercels is 650-670g and 970-1020g for the falcon.
